Noise in Telefunken AK47

I was recording some triangle today and discovered this noise on my Telefunken AK47 track. Anyone know what would be the cause of this?

Thanks!

I would think that Telefunken USA would be more than happy to diagnose and fix the problem? How close is the microphone to any type of power source, how close to a computer screen or a non shielded speakers? And also, does it do the same thing with a different preamp, and/or with a different converter? It could be a multitude of things that really requires the attention of a technician with the microphone on their bench.

Thanks for the reply...

The mic is in a vocal booth far removed from any power sources or non shielded speakers. The chain was going into a DW Fearn and then through a Lavry Blue. I tried it as well through a GML 2020 and still got the same thing. Although I wasn't familiar with the sound right off for some reason I had a feeling this was a common problematic type of sound. Maybe I am wrong. Anyone else?

I had this exact sound in a Studio Projects T3. Apparently this can happen if the mic is exposed to a certain amount of moisture (I didn't think mine was) but the company suggested putting the mic under a 100 watt light bulb for a few hours. It didn't work so I sent it in for repair and they just replaced the tube - problem solved. Hopefully that helps.

Craig.

I had a sneaking feeling that might be the problem. We have a REALLY bad humidity here and I've been worried about it for quite some time. I have even been keeping those cillia bags in with my mic cases. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks!!

I just saw this thread so I don't know if the problem already has been solved.

I think that cleaning the tube connector will most likely solve the problem. If not then you have problem with the capsule.
