Carvin Bel Air with or without the Hasserl mods??

I have heard many great things about this amp.

It was suggested that I get one.

I play alot of different styles of music, and I don't have a lot of money to spend....I need it to step into a few different realms...

I like great tone straight from the amp (clean).....and I like a little crunch....I also use distortion and other F/X...so the F/x loop seems like a good option for that.

I don't play death metal or anything like that, BUT...

...I do like a little hard edge occasionally.

ANY WAY.....

Carvin sells these direct for a decent price, and I have seen them on-line used for even better.

They get decent reviews stock, and I have heard of and done a little research on the Hasserl mods.

Was wondering if any had any experience with this AMP, and or the phase I and II Hasserl modifications??

I can't try it before I buy it, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, kt

I am no amp tech, and would have a pro do the mods..........

but it seems like they would give me a little more from the amp.

Versatility that is.

I have one and love it. Didn't use the drive channel at all until Richard modded it. Now it is a monster! I still put a few drive pedals in front of it for more versatility, but it is a great amp for less that $500 on ebay!
