Does this guy actually sell the mics his lists? I mean, a U-67 for $5500? A CMV-563 for $3100?! Is this his "retail" price? What's the extra $1500 he tacks on to the going rate of a mic get you?

| You get what you pay for.
When I want to buy a classic mic, or want a mic repaired, I go with Bill. His products are superior, they are better than advertised and his power supplies are rock solid. Close friends of mine just purchased a pair of U67s at seemingly rediculous 2006 prices. Their report: holy grail. This ain't 1999, they don't make the good ones anymore. You get the best or accept the rest... and send it to Bill to repair anyway. My 2 cents.

the extra $1500 gets you a box. david lawrence seriously, if you want to take the guesswork out of buying an old mic (which will cost you a lot no matter who you buy from) Bill is a great source. He really knows his stuff and will take the time to explain it. i've spent a few dollars with him and don't regret it for a second- especially when i listen back to the tracks. |

I would not buy a mic from him personally. He pieces together mics a lot of the time. A microphone I bought from him was misrepresented as to the condition. Spent a lot of money and the mic was NOT worth it. His repair work is crappy also. MUCH better sending it to Korby who is great for repairs if you need that. Vintage King has the same or similar prices and their mics are top quality and they are nice to deal with. Bill is not pleasant and very obnoxious. My opinion and bad experience.

I have a Bill Bradley U67 with his mod that I am very happy with. A good friend of mine just purchased a U67 rebuild from him and he is thrilled, actually I believe his word was stoked. Lately, Bill's prices have been a bit high IMO, but it seems to be a reflection of the market, and it appears he is getting what he is asking. Sean |

never bought any mics there, but whenever a mic breaks it always goes to him for repair. And he does a fine job.

Wow. He's got two pairs of KM-84's there, at $2500 and $2600. Really? I feel a lot richer now.

I priced out some Gefell M582 tube mics from him and his prices were way in left field. I got them from this guy instead: Peter Drefahl at www.p.drefahl@freenet.de If you want something, e-mail him and he will have it or find it for you. Peter refurbished my M582's, included a brand new ultra quite power supplies that he makes, modded them to fit threaded capsules for far less than what Mr. Bradley was charging. I never bought anything from the Mic Shop so I can't tell you how Mr. Bradley's repair work is, but I've been a customer of Peters for a few years now.

Bill is a good guy and knowledgeable. I've purchased mics from him in the past. I don't think he's doing much repair himself--usually he is sending to Korby for repair. His prices over the last year have crept up too much. Which idiot on here (I'm sure he's here) would buy a KM84 for $1500.00? As an example, I purchased two KM 53's from him some years ago. I paid $ 800.00 for the pair. Now they are listed at $5000.00 per pair. Go ahead you mopes--overpay! Bradley has good 67's, 87's, Km series and M series. He has good C-12's and C-24's---he knows his stuff----but . . . |

I had a great experience with Bill when he refurbished a C12 for me. He was very informative and had the mic ready ahead of schedule.
