Who Made What Gear Famous

What gear has been made famous by whom.


From a digital standpoint i feel that Charles Dye has helped make the ren comp very famous, and duy and analog channel.




What are some others and also would they be as popular if so and so didnt say so.

I was using those things before Charles really started evangelizing (I mean that in the best way - I met him at Digiworld Boston a few years back and had a great chat!)

I wouldn't say he made those tools famous, as we already knew about them
