Why Atlas and Nathan rock...

I have a deadline on a CD I am working on. This is all in the middle of a buildout of a totally new studio set up. We are small potatoes, so, nothing a dealer would normally spend tons of time on (which he has). I have bought a few things from Atlas, but it's not like I know Nathan pesonally or anything. All my buys were very low money stuff. I would normally assume a dealer would basically forget me.

I was in process of buying a certain set of products. I looked all over, and Atlas had the particular things I needed. I needed these items in like, uhhh, yesterday!

Nathan was upfront and advised they were unavailable for 3 weeks. I said, "I cannot wait 3 weeks!![cryyyyzzzz:-(]"

I get an email from Nathan:

"I can send you my own rig if you need it...[sic]..."

I declined, cuz I would feel too weird if I screwed up the rig of someone else, let alone someone I barely know.

Nonetheless, I think this shows something beyond Pimp-dom. This is someone who cares about making music.

I looked all over, but there is no other way to fulfill the order I need in time. I decided to track "AROUND" the items for now. I will, as you can guess, probly get them from Atlas :-)

Nathan was very minimal about offering, and never even hinted at a backpat, but I gotta give him one--nice CS there Nathan!

cheers,

KT

I have had nothing but praise for Nathan and his shop since day one...I bought my original OSAs used and some new things since, and he has been a steady source of information, honesty, and straightforwardness with us, often loaning gear for a particular need as well.

He treats me the way I would want to treat others - friends first, THEN business...has even acted as a sounding board, just listening and offering his personal take on situations without even mentioning gear....I respect that in a man...and trust him.

I was 10 minutes from ordering an OSA-rack and NAthan started his calculation (via email), then my car broke down and I had to set my priorities. His customer-service skills are thumbsup

Funny. I emailed Nathan once in regards to some mic clips for my Josephson c42s that I got off ebay. I said something to the effect of "I noticed you sell Josephson products but didn't see the clips listed seperately for sale on your site. I was wondering if you could somehow sell me a pair". The response I got was, as far as I can remember "We don't sell the clips. That's why you didn't see them". That was it. It came off kind of snotty to me which was surprising considering what good feedback he gets on this forum. I don't even doubt that he's a nice, helpful guy. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day. Or maybe I'm just too sensitive.
