How you know you have spent too much time on Gearslutz

So last night I had a dream about acoustic treatment.
The details are sketchy but somehow I got a great deal on some rockwool panels, which I was most pleased about.

Also yesterday I hit 500 posts, and I only signed up in January. I've probably been a little heavy handed with the Post Quick Reply button.
But in my defence, many of my posts have just been of this guy-
I really like seeing him dance.

haha. I disagree. You haven't been here enough if you only have 500 posts since January. I know I certainly haven't been around here enough. I'm on here every day, reading through almost every new thread in a few select boards. I don't post as much as I should.

I've only got 700 posts in five years. It's because I spend more time *listening* than talking...

Be careful with generalizations...

I dream about mix fixes all the time.

Sometimes I'll be driving and 10 minutes will go by as I just think about mix fixes and ideas. 10 minutes worth of absent driving, on auto pilot, thinking about mixing related stuff. Crazy.

It's really bad.

But at least I'm not dreaming of Jules...

To me, that seems like a sign of passion. Perhaps instead it's time to worry when you find yourself in lengthy and heated debates if gear A is better than gear B, and talking like if there's actually a right and wrong. The best musicians, arrangers, producers, engineers etc I've worked with during my soon 30yrs are open minded, curious and positive people. Perhaps not always a must for making good music, but a good start.

You've spent too much time on Gearslutz when you are reading posts in another forum, start to write a reply, and reach for the icon.
