Portable Audio Recorder With Build in Preamp?

I am looking for a portable audio recorder with built in preamp, for use with my binaural microphone. I came across the Tascam DR2D on Amazon, which seems to be good value for money...can anyone confirm whether I can use this without an external preamp, or alternatively recommend another portable recorder with one built in? My budget is between £100-£200.

Thanks in advance

some of the Zooms -like the H4 - have XLR jacks and provide phantom power as well

It depends on your binaural mic.

Does it require 48V phantom power on XLRs? Or foes it require plug-in power on a mini-jack?

It doesn't require phantom power as it runs on a 9v battery pack.
