Which Han-D-Mag for Tascam 38 Tape Machine?

Hey,

I need to buy a de magging device for my Tascam 38.

Everyone talks about the Han-D-Mag but I noticed there are two models a 115V and a 220V. Is one more suitable than the other?

I live in the UK - will the device still work? does this make a difference to which one I should choose?

Thanks in advance.

The 220V one if you live in England!

Ok thanks. Will the 115v one work if I use a converter plug or not?

You would need more than just a converter plug (if by that you mean a plug adaptor from a US-plug to a UK-plug), you would need a step-down transformer. If you try just using an adaptor plug on a 115v unit into a 220v mains supply you will fry your unit (if not yourself). Just buy the 220v unit if you're based in the UK.

I would save money and get the Tascam/Teac E-3 or E-1(E2 was a bulk eraser). They work fine.
