The Sanken COS-11 is great for that stuff, and I know a few other pros that do use them too. Look out for the vampire clip that fits it – it's expensive but convenient if you have to hide the mic.

Every mixer I have worked with use the sunken cos-11. On the last show I mostly used vampire clips and a wind cap if we were outside, which was pretty often since it was a western. If there was heavy wind I would use a sticky and an overcover. I also use 1" gaff as strain relief (sorry wardrobe!) and that works for me much better than medical tape if the clothing allows the heavier tape.

Lectrosonics is here in Rio Rancho NM. Those are the transmitters we usually use with the body/ plant / boom mics. I really like the sm series compared to the older bigger ones. Apparently the new model will have selectable output.
