| Can you get the T3 from a local dealer with a liberal return policy? If not, check out www.bpmmusic.com They "seem" to have a reasonable return policy, although I never had to use it with them. IIRC, the T3 can be sent back to Studio Projects to be tweaked in order to have a flatter response. You could e-mail them to confirm this, if interested, along with any other questions. As far as any ADK's, www.atlaspro.com sells them, and perhaps Nathan will notice this post to give his perspective. Nothing beats a hands on comparison, IMHO. You may want BOTH. ![]() Chris |

| Lives for gear | So far I've had the opportunity to hear two Studio in the Projects mics. Most recently was the the T3, which I commented today that I thought was very midrangy and flacid sounding (heard it on drum overhead and acoustic guitar in a room to die for, the gear/players were consistent as well). The other SP I heard was the C1 briefly at a demonstration I did at a small hip hop/r&b studio in comparison to a Blue Baby Bottle on female vocals (among other outboard gear including a Pendulum Quartet and Millenia STT-1). It was the antithesis of the Baby Bottle, which those of you familiar with the Baby Bottle know that it doesn't have hardly any highs or lows to speak of. (i.e. bandpass-ish). Although the Baby Bottle wasn't exactly overwhemingly great (but not horrible), the SP was peaky in the highs and sounded very scooped in the low midrange not something that I would prefer to reach for in a session. I can't comment on the rest of the line, and maybe you'll hear something completely different than my personal preferences.
