Your best bet may be contacting John Aldridge at http://www.notsomoderndrummer.com/contact.html. The man knows his stuff and will, more than likely, be able to "Name That Drum!" Looks like a cool drum. |

Not sure the brand just from these pics, but it's your typical, student model from way back. All the major manufacturers offered these. Tuning is only on one side, so you tune both sides at the same time by the wingnuts on the bottom of your pics. The snare mechanisims probably only work with individual snare strands and can't be tightened too much either. They don't sound particularly good in their current state and you probably don't want to modify them either. They look cool to lay around the studio if it's really cheap, but don't look for a great drum. Now, I'll play antique roadshow host......don't quit your day job. These aren't worth a whole lot either. I wouldn't pay more than $50 as they're not playable/usable. If you're looking for decoration, price accordingly. m |
