Make an RCA to XLR cable balanced ?

Hi I have some speakers with some rca inputs (they do not have any other inputs) - they need to be about 20 metres from the output. At the moment I have 20m long shielded RCA /phono cables with RCA XLR converters on the outputs of the soundcard (only has XLR outputs).
I know this is long for an unbalanced signal - would there be anyway of wiring XLR to RCA/phone using a balanced cable ?

yes, but it won't be balanced. RCA are unbalanced connectors. Google will show you how to wire this. Try first as the noise may not be an issue. If so, get better speakers.

If they are un-powered speakers then the RCA connector won't matter.

Still, if there is an RCA being used the set up can't be balanced, period.

Jensen transformers sells a passive interface box that converts balanced to unbalanced. The fidelity is very good. Run your long balanced lines to the box, which should be kept very close to the speaker (I have used velcro strips to mount these little boxes right to a chassis.), and run a short jumper from the unbalanced output to your speaker's input.
