Thread Starter | Master EQ question for Michael Wagener
Hey Michael, You've posted that you use the Massivo for your master EQ, and prefer using a one broad stroke of master EQ than an insert EQ on each track. Going into a mix with this philosophy, do you have your Massivo already dialed in with the EQ when you start your mix? or do you hold out as long as possible before you patch it in? Thanks |

This has to qualify as THE latest answer to a question. I have certain frequency in mind when I approach Equing the stereo bus, mainly based on experience data from my Mastering engineer. Each song also gets it's own treatment, even though once I have a general setting it mainly stays close to that for the mix of a complete album. I normally get a rough mix up and switch on the MP then refine the mix based on the MP in the chain before I start writing fader moves. |
