Happy Birthday! I'm really grateful to be a member for so long. I've learned a ton.
ROFL...

We in Switzerland should do the same

So who's organizing the music for the evening?
Now there's a tough job.
It's like cooking the food at a chefs convention.

Why is there no love for the East cost? How about Miami? Or even NY City?

Beer, lederhosen and moose antlers, usual thing, bring your own antlers, rent some lederhosen if you dont own any.

But seriously its a mostly a bunch of guys standing around talking about recording, gear and techniques and telling engineer anecdotes and jokes (what ever they are...)

Nerd factor = high
Hip / cool factor = who cares?
Drink = yes
Food - yes

There are always a few yawning people that have had the misfortune to be dragged along by a Gearslut.. Cant please everyone!

People split at about 11 or 12 to go to bed or 'cooler' destinations

Someone at one of these parties should have Skype or google video thing. Then everyone everywhere could log in and attend

Tennessee Slutz,
PM me about a party. If a Nashville member doesn't step up to host, I'm a couple hundred yards from the exact geographical center of our great state.
My place isn't the largest or the sluttiest, but I'll hire in a local band and we can webcast it for the out of town slutz to watch. I can handle 30 or 40 people. Moose hats also welcome.

Whether it's an official GS sanctioned party or not, we'll set a date and make it happen. It'll be nice to meet some members in real life.

Greg

If there are any Haligonian lurkers, we should organize a little get-together / anniversary celebration!

Happy birthday GearSlutz,

Johann in Halifax

Nothing south of the Equator?? We might need a UDI ... (where are you when you're needed, Idi?)

BTW, if an observer came from another galaxy, what would convince him that our North Pole was Right Way Up? No more Down Under - we are really Up On Top! (intended only as a bit of balancing commentary.)

Party on Macquarie Island, anyone?
