Mixing-Desk-Question!!

I am always updating my template in Logic for composing and mixing. So this question goes to long time console users.
Given is a normal Singer-Sogwriter to Rock scenario on the desk....
Suddenly my template is growing...
Now I see on the console there is nor free channel anymore for LV and BGV.

So where to put it together with?

DRUMS?
ORGAN?
BASE?

I ask this because I made the following experience:
If put two instruments in the same console-channel and those instruments fight in the same frequency domain it doesn't sounds good anymore...
What is your experience here? How would you solve the situation?

Thanks to all answers HOLMY!!!

I'd keep vocals and bg vocals separate. Not sure how many outs you have but you could combine guitars with the organs or bass with drums to free up some I/O or faders. It's a tricky question to help with without more information about your usual summing scheme, though.
