RE20 Impedance Q

I'm getting back into recording (for video and mutimedia) after a long hiatus. I've been using a Tascam DR-40 recorder with an EV RE50 or Sennheiser MKE-2p's, so far so good. Wanting something a little better for voice, I bought a used RE20. I seem to remember testing it when I got it, and it was OK, but I could be wrong. The foam was completely disintegrated. Took it apart, marked connections and desoldered the wires at the capsule. Put new foam in it, resoldered. Tested it and levels are low and it sounds thin. Put a meter on it and it reads 23 ohms across pin 2/3. The RE50 reads 213 ohms across 2/3. Checked the wiring and it is wired for 150 ohms, so that is correct.

Any advice?

Thanks!
