Yes, adding absorption inside the room helps. For sure. But it's not as effective at low frequencies as "real" isolation techniques such as Green Glue and resilient channel.

How about a hpf after 9pm? So much cheaper than the other options - and how much "low rumble" does your acoustic sound really need anyway?
