Second Pair Of Mon´s, Different From BM6a´s

Hi,

I´ve got a pair of BM6a´s and a BM9s.

I´d like another pair that sounds a bit different compared to the Dyn´s to check mixes.

I don´t want to spend more than 1k on this.

Do you have any ideas? NS10´s? What about those HS80´s.

Thanks alot.

NS10's all the way, I have BM6's as well, between the two you have the nearfield side of things covered!

I run them on a Quad 240 and they sound great.

I would suggest using a McIntosh or Perroux amp.

NS10's would be cool... But, a good amp and a second hand set of NS10's will push you over the $1k range.

I've been getting great results with the Blue Sky Media Desk system as a second set of monitors... And they are under $500.

better yet one mono auratone.

i use an adcom passive speaker switcher with mine.. it has a protection circuit which makes mono bridging a 2000 watt power amp a breeze..

one amp.. 3 sets of speakers.

Why don't you buy a pair of powered KRKs, M-Audio, or Events for $300 to $500 and use those for comparison?

2nd time I've recommended these today...

They sound like crap, but I do a ton of mixing on a set of pyramids... they really expose flawed mixes.
