Can you please reccomend overhead(s) to compliment the following? Mono or stereo?

Hello -
I am in the process of outfitting my studio with a backline and have started building up my my mic locker a bit. For drum mics, I have the following:
  • Audix D6 x1
  • Audix D4 x1
  • Audix Micro-D x3
  • AT4041 X1
  • Shure 98 X1
  • SM57
X1
Anything you would reccomend along these lines to use as overheads? Would another 4041 be a good investment or should you always buy overheads by the pair? Budget is <$500.

Also have a Blue KIWI and a SM7b. I've noticed sme folks just use a mono overhead. Any thoughts on if I should do this with any of the mics listed and save myself some money for other things?

Thanks for any insight.

I'm no expert (yet) but if you can stretch the budget a bit you might look into these.

Award-winning microphone engineering from Michael Joly

I ordered mine last week should be here tomorrow or the next day. So obviously i can't speak directly that they are crazy good but judging from the audio samples, and reviews of mike's work i would think they should be right where your looking to be sound wise.

I have to say, the modded Oktava 012's do slay. I've used them interchangeably with KM84's and they do the job equally as well.

On the cheap cheap, it's tough to go wrong with a used pair of Shure SM81's.
