Measurement Reference Mic

Hey all,

Trying to start treating my room... I was wondering if anyone had some opinions on what measurement mic I should get? I know there are cheap mics made by behringer, nady, apex... Around $60 for any of those.

Right now, I'm a little more interested in T.H.E. KP-6M. I have used it once a few years ago as a room mic and I have used other T.H.E. products that have all shared a higher build quality.
(List $380)

Then, there are also some higher end yet with Earthworks and DPA... those might be a bit more than what I want to pay for a measurement mic.

...And I may have missed a few...

Does one need more than a $60 behringer mic? If I went with the T.H.E. I could also use it for other recording applications.
Any thoughts?

Here is a very cool test:

Have a look at it and draw your conclusions also considering what you want to achieve. Overall I would say even the cheapest microphones can do the job quite well, if you don't need a perfect measurement. If you do need a perfect measurement, then go for a calibrated mic.
