Any Other Ideas?

So i'm recording an album in the next few weeks for a well loved underground rock band in the UK and drums are up first.

Here's what I have to record with:

Mapex Saturn Kit

Audix D6
EV RE20
AKG D112
Shure SM57 (X3)
Shure SM57 Beta
Beyer M201
Sennheisser MD421 (X2)
Blue Blueball
Oktava MK012 (X2)
Cascade Fathead (X2)
Cascade Gomez Michael Joly Mod
Rode K2
Rode NTV

UA1176 (X2)
Valley People Dynamite
FMR RNC
FMR RNLA

Toft ATB Console

Any Suggestions are welcome usually i do what the obvious would be well to me anyway which would be 3 kicks,3 snare, rack, floor,oh's,room mono, room stereo

I've got a usual line up of these mics but any other suggestions would be well received as i wanna do something different this time.

Thanks.

My Recordings/Credits

Use what you already have. You don't need anything else. They did fantastic recordings in the 60s with only couple of mics. There was no need for that many mics back then so with a bit of practice you'll probably get great results with what you already have.

Shit I should have been more specific.i mean ideas relating to mic choices for each drum or room mic etc etc and placement, sorry for the confusion.

I've had decent success before in this room as i've had stuff played on A lists before.

My Room is 20 feet by 22 feet by ten feet high carpeted floor and wooden diffussion and rockwool at the bottom half of the room and 2 of the walls have heavy curtains on it.

sorry again about the confusion.(and bragging)

glyn johns method altered a bit.

Try the D6 and MD421 on the kick. RE20 or MD421 on snare. Fat heads as your two "over heads" (one above the front edge of the snare. The other same distance from snare positioned so it's looking over the top of the floor tom).

Then put up the oktavas as reinforcement room mics.

It takes a little configuring, but you can probably get a pretty cool drum sound.
