Bass processing on 'Two Against Nature'

Throughout the whole album, the bass is incredibly consistent. It almost sounds like organ pedals. I'm thinking they limited the shit out of it, but made sure to eliminate/control any noise the limiting would introduce. I also suspect they autotuned it.

Any thoughts?

Also, please let's not argue about how much we like/hate the album.

Would like to learn about this too. Love the bass and the rest of the production on this CD. It's in my top 3 for sure. I can tell a lot of it is the playing though!

I remember reading in an article when it came out that Walter recorded his bass through an Avalon U5. A Sadowsky bass I believe he used. Unfortunately thats all I can recall.

My Recordings/Credits

I seem to recall Scott Hull telling me there was no compression done in the mastering and that they were very finicky, I think they also had an issue with
the replication consistently not coming back right

I can believe it. It's one of those rare productions that begs to be turned up by this thing called a volume control, and sounds good there with no fatigue.
