Multisampling workstations

Hello, I havn't found a thread about this subject thus far, so hoping I'll be able to get something useful started. I've been searching for months for the perfect hardware multisampling keyboard (I'm talking about the ability to sample any sound at any key, something that would allow you to have a drum sound on 'g' and a vocal on 'a' and a guitar on 'b'... or whatever combo you wanted, for as many keys as the keyboard has. In this case I'd want to open up the possibility of recording my own sounds and loading them into the unit for a fully customized set of keys). Ideally looking for something that can do it in WAV, 24-bit (or higher... higher is always an option ). I've found a bunch of keyboards that can sample but this multisampling thing is what I'm really wanting to experiment with, and hoping, with your help, to compile a list of keyboards (or even rack mount units) that can do this. Not interested in software. So far the only one I've been able to find SOLID information that it can do this is the Alesis Fusion (6HD or 8HD). Any others out there? Let's hear about em!

e-mu e4, very good keys.

worked with when I was studying composing/arranging

Did not use it for making my own samples
I think it normally use scsi, so no usb.

I have owned esi 4000, it is great (rack), though it has a small screen.

You can multisample , and there is a very intutive feature where you can scrub using the pitch wheel when editing (has a very nice feel to it).

Multilayering possible, and also crossfade between layers.

It has great filters.

The model I used had zip disks, but they often have harddrive (scsi).
You almost get the esi 4000 for free now, I payed 3000 dollars back in the day...

great sound on all the e-mu samplers.
