I may have gone a little nuts trying to figured this out, mic into pedals help

Hey guys, I'll try to be as thorough and clear as possible about what I want to do, I've already read quite a few different threads but can't seem to find any one specific issue resolved in the sense that I expect it may be able to be resolved.
I've also read loads of stuff on both the Boss VE-20 and the TC-Helicon Create XT as well as the TC-Helicon smaller stompboxes.

Here's the deal, I'm the vocalist of an original guitar based rock and roll band without a lot of frills. My vocals are raspy, bluesy, sometimes loud, sometimes soft, for lack of a better way to describe them. I also play the harmonica.

From what I understand I can go either one of two ways.

Straight into a digital effects box, dedicated for microphones, then out to the PA system.

or

Into a bunch of cables, adapters, preamps, pedals, then out through some more stuff (this is the setup I'm having trouble with) and then out to the PA system. (I read something about a DI box, impedance converters, and preamps but dont really understand the orde of things)

I need a few things:
Be able to turn on/off my effects individually.
I want to be able to combine the effects. (turn on/off the delay and leave just the reverb on and vice versa)
I want simple, and I like analog.
I use an SM58
I hope to use equipment I already have without spending too much on new gear, but if it's such a hassle I may have to consider a digital box.
I have a Boss RV-5 reverb that I like (sounds ok with the mic plugged straight into it) and I have an Electro Harmonix Memory Boy analog delay that I really like but goes wonky when I use it with the mic and kills my gain (and probably flattens my tone a bit) when we go loud in the studio.
I like texture, I don't mind staying a bit lo-fi with all the adapters as long as I don't loose too much vocal range or tone and gain.

Specs (in order I think want them linked, please help me out if this is right)

Sm 58 (output EIA rated 150 Ohm 300 Ohm actual) - into Electro Harmonix memory boy (1 M Ohm input impedance) - into Boss RV-5 (1 M Ohm input impedance and 1 K Ohm output impedance) - then out into a PA system.

I lose a lot of gain, especially when I turn off the electro harmonix pedal. What can i do to fix this?

I've seen these impedance adapters
and also some DI boxes but I dont know if I need active, passive, where to put it, how many I need and all that.

I don't mind having a lot of gear hooked up as long as it does what i'm looking for!
Thanks guys!

TC-Helicon | Products

this stuff should work.
especially the small separates.
you could put however many of them you want on a pedal board with a power supply and you are good to go. switch them on and off with a toe tap.
You could carry the board and your mic and harmonicas ib the same case like an old funky small suitcase.

Thanks! Any ideas on the alternate rig setup?

A superior option to run a dynamic mic into stomp boxes for live use is the SYNAPSE pedal by Revival Electric.

It is basically an impedance matching mixer in a stomp box format. Some handy features include:

-proper impedance matching for lining a mic signal into a stomp box
-a 1/4" fx loop for hooking up all your stomp boxes
-XLR in and out for the mic line
-variable mix knob for blending your fx loop with the dry signal
-bypass switch to turn off the fx loop with LED indicator
-ground lift switch
-variable boost knob to provide and additional 6 db of gain to the fx loop (pro model only)

Here is a little demo:
