What the hell isn't useable about the current EQ plugin? I've been using it for 8 months and loving it. If you need more of them buy another card, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than hardware. And the new version gives you a 3 band option that only uses 29% of a chip.

I hate the Oxford. I hate the DMX mini Oxford. And yes, I hate the plug in. I think I'm the only person here that doesn't like them, but to me, they are almost useless tools. I have processing for days, as a matter a fact, my rig has the most DSP I've ever seen properly work way beyond what digi recomends. It looks cool, but for me, it's probably the only eq I've never had much sucess with.

Same here, but Jules told me to try it on EQ type 2 and use it for drums - this has actually been working for me. Still, I was expecting more...

Yeah, I don't really like those 'chick flick' movies. Paid Vacation? What is this thing you speak of?

All eq plug ins suck. Get a Pultec or a Neve 1073 and tell me I'm wrong. Go ahead, flame me.

Do you have analog channel to compare it too? if not download the demo...

Well, the 1073 EQ's never did it for me. Way too much phase shift. Regradless, I see your point, I'd just prefer a better example. Guess it's my time to get flamed.

I mean to test it against the Hedd. point taken re analog channel (demo).

No I am not beta testing the GML EQ for PTHD (his own make, not the Sony option). I wager I could be if I had an HD rig, but I dont, so I haven't been tugging at Georges coat tails and pestering him for the honor.

I wonder if it will be on show at AES?

That and Waves Masters EQ seem to be the clear rivals for the Sony..

Even if I dont have HD, I'm rooting for any strides forward in PT sound quality!

But I understand the Waves has a HUGE sample delay time that makes it unusable in a mix.. (or a big PITA) but that could well be an incorrect assumption on my part.

I cant imagine Sir George of Massenburg would settle for such an inconvenience...

I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall during his tech chats to Digi R&D personell!
