Quite appropriate that this thread was brought back to life after a long hiatus, because that's exactly what's happened to John Wood, the sound engineer who recorded Pink Moon. Although I don't think he does much (if any) recording any more, he is now offering online mixing services, at quite reasonable rates: Analogue Mixing To Tape | AnalogMixing.Net (Interesting to read that he apparently used 4 mics to record Nick Drake's guitar though. That surprised me.) |

John Wood is one of the most underrated recording engineers in history. Alot of what I'd call more "name" engineers have nothing on this guy.
