How do you cascade two DM 3200 mixers together?

I would like to cascade two Tascam DM 3200 mixers together. Other than connecting up a cascade cable and setting one mixer to master and the other to slave. Is there anything else I will need to do? Also,do I have to use their "special" cascade cable or will any D-Sub cable work?

I also intend to us an outboard converter. Will this cause sync issue or will the master DM tell the slave DM the clock timing and all that?

Lastly, what features will be the limitations of such a setup?

Thanks

I am attaching some release notes that may help with a section on cascading. You can only use the Tascam cable.

Thanks for this info. It was very helpful and explained the whole connection thing to me. The only thing it did not explain clearly was is both units could access each others expansion cards. I believe Jim said they couldn't. One example is that I only have one firewire card. I would like to be able to use the 32 channels on both mixers. But, I don't believe that is possible.
