Anyone here use lynx aurora...

16i / 16o? I've used the units with a more itb approach but I've never used one with a console and was curious if anyone knew how to set the 1-2 output as channel 1 and 2 and not mains L/R is this something that needs to be handled with their setup software or is it an internal jumper? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I tried to ask on the lynx forum but their website was down for me.

Not sure what software you're using, but I know Logic tends to think of any 1-2 output as main stereo out - kind of annoying with a console, agreed!

Yeah this is with pt. I'm trying to figure out if this is even possible with a lynx. I'm sure it is, or should be. But I've never tried. The lynx always has made output 1-2, main L-R. I never had a need to change that before now because I worked mostly itb, but I want to make sure I am going to be able to make it 16/16 it would suck to be stuck with 16/2/14...

You didn't mention how you're interfacing. If it's via PTHD cards, then you'll need to mess with your I/O setup inside PT, then route all audio appropriately. If you use a Lynx AES Card/native then you'd also need to tweak the 'Play 01+02' routing in the Lynx mixer app.

nm, I'm ********, I figured it out in my brain, false alarm. Routing is not my strong point.

If ive worked this out correctly, I would just set all the I/o up in protools, and ditch the traditional master fader setup because I will be mixing otb, stop me if I'm wrong.

Nope, not wrong. That's it. Then of course route the individual tracks to the outs you want.
