There was also other great stuff presented, so if anyone has the chance to go there on the last day... go for it! Hall 5.1 is the place to be!

Fab Dupont for example was presenting the new UA Apollo. Some live vocals and keyboard playing included! Also a great product!

I don't get what SPL is doing. Why don't they release some proper 500 series modules?

They tried to go their own way... and maybe failed... What's holding me from buying their modular series is the fact, that the rack is too expensive!
But I don't know if it's technically possible to downsize their modules to the 500 format. They're almost twice as deep!

I don't know. If they manage to stick four transient designers in a rack surely they could manage a 500-series TD.

The Tubebox was packed into a lunchbox with an SM Pro Audio cover instead of the API one... funny. But they were not connected to an audio source. And it was not attached with screws. I pulled it out to have a look at the guts and nobody from SM Pro Audio was interested... Wouldn't surprise me if the unit was gone by saturday! I was a little bit disappointed because the "tube" inside looked actually more like an halogen-bulb... I wouldn't expect too much from the unit. After all SM Pro Audio is not known for high end outboard gear. Not even mid level i'd guess...

Why would you need a dual rack pack for that?!? Just buy the upcoming Dual Twintube of the Analog Elemental Series!!! It is an absolutely gorgeous piece of gear! I spent around 20 minutes with it on the Musikmesse and it is most likely that I will buy one.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought when I pulled the module
out of the Lunchbox and had a look at the circuit.
Cheap china built modules with low quality components and
insufficient quality controls have finally arrived in the 500 series...

No idea... They were barely speaking any english, so it was hard to communicate. The rack was only available on paper, haven't seen it displayed. You could drop them an email?! Interesting feature is the power consumption meter, switchable to display all 10 different slots. You can't find this products at their website, maybe they are still searching for a company buying them...

So I got the scoop on the E1073. It's the MP73 that 797 audio sells.

I didn't get any other information from the manufacturer except that 797audio sells them for $600.
