They're from January 1960, I believe.

Great tubes for fender amps or anything else.I would grab some but i already have 50's RCA's in my amp and a fair tube collection.
Those were likely made(60's) for missile guidance system/radar so,yeah, well made tube. Also found in a lot of organs and radio.
American made and apparently as good as the best RCA's.Referred to as warm toned for audio applications.
Cool stuff.

Yeah, man. They have the shiny long black plate with the halo (o) getter. I've only found these particular ones online for $79. I'm not gonna charge that much though, that seems rather steep.

Yooo! I swapped one of these out with my NOS Telefunken 12AX7 in my TubeTech CL1B and tracked my voice through them both. I swear I may keep the Raytheon in there.

Does anyone want me to post samples of each? This is crazy 'cause I love my T-funk for vox.

The chain is Brauner Phanthera > 1073 DPA > CL1B > Rosetta > PT 10.
The only thing with tubes in the chain is the CL1B and only the input is 12AX7. The output is a 12AU7 which has an RCA clear top in there.

I thought the T-funk was open. I've had a Mullard in there too but it was a little too wooly for lead vox (for me).

The Raytheon is just as open as the 'funk but the hi-mids are more full of harmonics. The low end is very extended giving a nice weight to them. The 'funk is extended but has more goin' on in the 250-600hz area, which unfortunately, I end up cuttin' with an EQ slightly.

The reason I'm amped is 'cause the Raytheon gets me closer to what I mix towards.

I wouldn't mind having a listen.
Im very partial to RCA's and from all accounts, the Raytheon's were very similar at the time.(50's 60's)

Hi there. Depending on the price, I may be interested in getting 1 or 3 of these. Really, I think it'd be good to have a matched-triode loaded in my Art TCS (Which I didn't buy yet... If only I could find one for sale!) Did Bowie mention if any of them had a matched set of triodes? Thanx.

PM sent. Seeing as this thread has some age I'm hoping they're still available.
