AKG bx5 spring reverb unit. any good ?

HI there,

im thinking about picking mup a bx5 spring unit,
i know a couple of people on here have experience with this unit,
what i can expect, smooth ? natural ? y ?
good as verb for everything ?

Hi yes ive used the search, these threads pretty much talk about the bx10 and up. esp bx20. I am looking to by the bx5, and was wondering if anyone has one and uses it, and what its good for.

Well, I have never used a bx5, but smooth and natural are not verbs I would use to describe any spring reverb. The beauty in a spring comes with the b0ing, the twang, and the rattle :-)

Is this BX5 expensive? In good working order? I would advise you get ahold of it and try it out, if it's a good price.
