Step 1: consider that Dynaudio have now moved on to the BM5A mkII

Step 2: look at online retailers/ebay/Craigslist to see what these go for, new and used, kinda like this: Dynaudio BM5A MKII | Sweetwater.com

Step 3: if you can hear them in person before you buy and they are in good condition, then...

Step 4: consider steps 1 through 3 and see if perhaps you answered your own question.

Yes, it's a good deal.

I have seen the non MKII on here (classified) for $550. I paid $750 for my MKII's brand new. BTW, I have used many monitors and heard my as well, but for some reason, maybe it's my room or ears, dunno, these monitors make my mix sound the same no matter where I play it. I absolutely love them.

Yeah I have an opportunity to buy some a7's also for a similar price, though I've never heard those in a mixing environment, a friend who uses the dynas exclusively does not end up with mixes that I feel like translate always. However they seem to have a low fatigue factor and this has all been covered on the forums blah blah.. I really need to go a/b the two basically.

Thanks for the info regarding the mkii's. And I look forward to trying them.

Send a message via AIM to jonathan jetter
i just sold a pair for $600 in NYC, if it matters.

i think anywhere between $550 and $700 is reasonable for a used pair in good shape.
