Would a summer allow me to simultaneously monitor multiple sources?

Could a summer be used to simultaneously play multiple audio sources through a single set of monitors? For example, have computer audio, DAW, and an instrument with stereo output running together without quality loss?

Anyone? I know, that isn't the intended usage, but I'm not concerned with analog summing for mixing. I need a way to play along to backing tracks, mixes, etc without having to leap through hoops.

Coleman Audio QS8

It is common for an engineer to use a Analog Mixing Desk/Summing System, to Mix multiple sources to a master stereo bus output for a number of reasons. This could include live Microphones, [re-amped setups] Keyboard's, Drum Machines, Stereo DAW returns, stems. Really anything you need to mix together. It sounds like you just need a multi-channel mixer and monitoring control. I think the Coleman Audio QS8 is a good box to suggest! This is a very well thought out product with great features.

Check out Glenn running the unit's features down,

Thanks! I was looking at the D-Box, which isn't much more expensive than the QS8. I'll have look for comparisons an reviews.
