The Culture Vulture Mastering (not plus).. a crap?

recently got a used culture vulture mastering at $1800, and found it is not a mastering 'plus' unit.. that's my fault because I didn't do a search intensively. Basically it lacks of some extra features from plus model, and is like a normal vulture with balanced i/o and detented knobs..
I've searched gearslutz and my model (mastering) was discontinued around 2010.. Maybe thermionic found that it was faulty?
I'm so worried because I might got an unit which has some unwanted issues..
What do you think? should i sell this and get another mastering plus one?

All the Thermionic gear suffers from quality issues from time to time. That's kind of usual with bespoke, valve heavy gear.

The CV was simple updated. Not necessarily anything "wrong" with the old one, they just added features and gave it a new model number.
