How to do this Pre Reverb Effect? (reference track included))

at 12 seconds in this song, theres a pre reverb effect leading into the verse. anyone no how to do this?

Record yourself saying something.

Reverse it.

Apply a reverb, works best with a fairly long reverb time.

Print the track 100% wet with reverb.

Reverse your original recording of you saying something again.

Import the reverb sample.

Reverse the reverb sample.

Cut off most of the reverb sample so only the sound of the first word builds up. Match up the two in your DAW so the reverse reverb builds or echoes into the original track.

Done.
