Pioneer CDJ 400 v 800 mk1

Hi, trying to get to the bottom of this.

I'm after a pair of one or the other. I love the idea of being able to play tracks from a USB device....

You dont need all this modern day infinite everything VST crap with billions of options to make great music. Proof of this lies in the fact great music existed prior to the invention of the PC.
Great humans create great music. Instruments/equipment only aid in this process and are nothing more than tools. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a high quality human with low quality tools producing great music time after time!

...as opposed having to make up cdrs but exactly how good are the cdr 400s to mix on compared to the 800 mk1s.

I only need basic looping for voice overs and vinyl emulation for mixing as opposed scratching...

I'm no DJ, so I wouldn't know, but when I engineer at clubs DJs usually ask for either 800s or 400s. I came to the conclusion that they are pretty much the same, apart from USB.
