Upgrading gear advice please.

Hey fellow bloggers, i have stumbled over this website numerous times when browsing the web for advice and after excellent tips i finally decided to register and learn more from the members here. So to cut a long story short im trying to make a big upgrade from a beginner stage....like; Interface:M-audio mobile pre, Monitors: Rokit 5s, Mic: CAD GXL3000 condenser, Controller:Oxygen 25 and Daw: Fl Studio 10. As u can see im a beginner here, my music is fairly good but not as good as i want it to sit, esp my vocals ((Thin Vocals)). My first upgrade is to change my mic to a Shure ksm44 ($800). Will this make even a inch of a difference in my vocals? and what other upgrade to my gears can i make to complement my shure mic's performance?

I have also attach a file of one of my most recent recording sessions tell me what u think
Attached Files
File Type: mp3 Wilding.mp3 (6.16 MB, 25 views)

not sure what your musical goal is, but if you're a beatmaker or engineer, sonically, it sounds pretty good, considering I only listened on my Macbook Pro speakers. If you're an artist, I'd invest more time in improving the lyrics/concepts. Just my 2 cents

whoa man. That sounded very good. I don't think the vocals are thin. I think maybe you're being too hard on yourself.

Yea, i like that quality, its good enough for a home Studio to me, but that was before i moved like a month ago and now the new place im staying is killing me, the room is kinda small just a bit smaller than the last...but i cant seem to find that sweet spot in the mic anymore. Im planning on getting that Se Electronics pro Rf tho hopefully it helps
