USB Audio Interface or Mixer? Help?!?

hey so im very new to recording.. I do live podcasts and VO work. anyway so im moving up from a USB mic to the RE20 or PR40 ... so as of current im looking to buy the "Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface" but now im not sure if thats the best way to go. like I said before, im very new to this whole recording biz which means I really dont know what the best way to record live audio is. Would it be better for me to get a Usb interface and a studio mixer or just a USB mixer? it would be great if I could possibly get some recommendations, my budget is £250 or $350. thank you...

i would personally get a seperate mixer from your usb interface, gives you more flexibility for upgrading etc later on

I would definitely get the RE20 instead of the heil. Are you using Mac or PC? The Scarlett looks like a good interface, and it seems like it has fairly decent preamps. When you get down the road invest in a better preamp. But the mixer isn't necessary unless you really want to go down the analog mixing road. To hook it up you would just plug the mic into the mixer. Then you could either go from the L and R outs of the mixer into the interface, or if you're going to have more than one mic plugged into the mixer and would like to control each one separately in your software, then do the the aux outs of the mixer.
