Hey dude dispite what Hammond heads will tell you you don't have to use Hammond oil what you need is a light machine oil I use singer sewing machine oil ....my Hammond runs perfectly and has done for 4 years and smells really nice when it warms up .. You fill up the cups in the tone generator once a year I do this on my birthday so I don't forget lol and it will do its thing ...don't over do it just. Fill the the 2 cups good luck

oil...

Hi there.....that`s exactly what I was thinking about the "hammond" oil. This oil must be the same type of oil as used for sensitive type of machinery like a singer machine. Thanks again for info ....-

Hey dude..
The L-122 (all the L100 and M100 series) are valve tone wheel organs
and they sound like it ..Nothing compares to the sound of a real Hammond
and when you play one you will say "shit! that's it lol"
I could go on about green onions and whiter shade of pale and Keith Emerson and so on and so on ...they played these organs because they sound great..

BUT! 600 bucks is way to much unless it has a Leslie with it and its mint..
I'm only guessing as i'm in England and they regularly come up for auction on ebay for around £200 which really is a steel because they are that good..
But if you are going to get one do get a Leslie or sharma rotary speaker for it.
My L-122 has an effects loop in it and played with an overdrive or wha sounds awesome ..
Hope this helps

Thanks for the answer, there is no leslie or any rotary speaker, the add says that it is in mint condition, maybe I can get down the pricetag a little!

If you go and check it out make sure you test everything
make sure all the draw bars work the reverb ,percussion ,vibrato etc
also check the bass pedals all work ...and ask them when it last had oil.
good luck

I hope it's in better condition than mine was lol
