tc g force question

Hi all, got a silly question that's driving me nuts! On the back of the tc g-force there are 2 unbalanced hi-z inputs I would like to utilize both so I bought a balanced trs to dual unbalanced mono trs cable. But of course my guitar only sends out a mono signal, so only the left led signal is lighting up on the front panel. I would like to plug my (mono) les paul guitar straight into the back of the tc and have the led inputs light up as a stereo signal...I've looked at direct boxes but the problem with them is they switch for hi-z unbalanced input to low-z balanced output. The back of the g-force is designed for 2 unbalanced hi-z inputs. I'm begining to think this is a design flaw on their part, since there are so few stereo-guitars made. What I need is a unbalanced (mono) trs to balanced trs box or convertor that does NOT affect the impedence or z value, so I can have a stereo input, but I'm not finding any solutions. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
