Also interested in this answer. Maybe this answer can lead to another question - is there a shortcut for the yellow keyboard right above it? Even better, I'd like it to open/close when the track is selected/deselected. Same for the "e" would be nice. Please let me know if you've posted on the Steinberg forum |

You can define all your shortcuts yourself in preferences. If it's not an option, then it can't be done, simple as that. I'm not on my Cubase 6 right now to look and see if it is possible, but it'll take you 1 min to find the answer yourself

Thanks, I'll check into that. OP, I read that the Steinberg CC121 controller can open it. So, this feature is set up to at least receive external commands to open. The controller is USB, so maybe you can do this with a MIDI message.

Make your own shortcut. I made Control E on my Mac a shortcut. Go to File>Key Commands Type in Edit Channel Settings into the top black search box, hit the magnifying glass. Type in the keys mentioned [Control E] in the Type in Key box, type the Assign button with the two upward arrows above it and OK to close the dialog box. Toggle the Edit Channel Settings at will. I might make one for the Edit Instrument now... good idea that one! While I was typing this reply I quickly made it so... (BTW it's really known as Edit VST Instrument and) I just made Control V for that one. Cheers Big Ears |
