Thread Starter | Convolution IR from FFT Hi guys I want to be able to generate an IR from an FFT profile. What would you recommend to firstly capture the FFT and secondly to create an IR from it? Until now space designer is as far into convolution as I've ever got so this is a big jump up lol. And yes it does need to be from an FFT profile rather than just recording the response as audio. Cheers Liam. |

| I am not sure it is possible. An FFT simply records amplitude against frequency at a given point in time. An IR is a recording of amplitude against frequency and its change over time. The first would work for modeling an eq curve via convolution, but not reverb. |

| I guess you want additive synthesis? Creating a sound out of sine waves? Camel Audio Alchemy is probably the way to go ... This is basically trying to unscramble an egg ... not sure if it's ever been done successfully ... |
