Thread Starter | Analogness for modern productions I've spend some time now dealing with analog gear like tapes, consoles etc.. I wonder if stuff like that is still necessary for modern productions like Dr. Luke, David Guetta, Dance inspired Pop Music etc. or would it rather be counterproductive and reduce the clarity and punchyness. Would that kind of music benefit from using a tape machine? Or do those producers use mostly digital stuff that doesn't add harmonic content. |

| Can you hear it in dr luke, guetta? spend some more time listening to the artist you're trying to mimik then go reffering back to your tapes and things and then you will find the answer. |
