Thread Starter | UPS Conditionner silent questions 220V Hi evrybody. I had some nightmares trying to chooe 2 UPS for my home studio. I really need them silent as possible because I don't have extra room to put them. I know that you can found some silent one but it depend on the technology. The ONLINE UPS are all really noisy so I can't use them. Offline it's not really what I desire because I want somethingthat can regulate the power. So I've saw that the InLine technology can be my goal but there is 2 differente InLine Technology, the " Sine wav" and "square wav".It seems that the "Sine wave " is more appropriate for audio but also there is no silent one. So my question is . If I use an InLine "square wav" (who can be silent) like this one should be ok ? : http://powerquality.eaton.com/68551.aspx?CX=101 I just want to plug my UAudio 2192 converters, one lunchbox, one Presonus central station, and a few samplers . Everything will be around 350W. Is it ok ? or do I need something like this, who looks good and "Pur Sine wav" not silent ? (if somebody can confirm is not silent it will be lovely) APC Smart-UPS 750VA LCD 230V So my FInal question is : Is an UPS InLine "Square wav" like the Eaton, should be good enough for my audio ring ? as it just to keep them enough longer on to shut down them propely . I don't want to buy a Furman or whatever because it's really too expensive and i had bad experience with a PS AUDIO conditionner... Thanks for your help ...and sorry for my English ![]() |

| Pure Sine wave is essential - don't settle for modified sine wave. Most UPS are just designed to cope with blackouts and aren't going to solve your audio problem. What are you trying to solve? For the cleanest power possible, look at a 1000 watt Pure Sine Wave inverter, and buy a deep cell battery and a battery charger. That will give you an excellent, no compromise UPS. Put in a ground spike so you are safe, and so your audio shields have a ground to go to. Most UPS are not this good, but this is what you need. People who sell solar power sytems have everything you need. You may as well add a solar panel and tell you clients you are solar powered for max green cred. |

I don't have any audio problems, I just want to keep it safe if I have a Blackout or electric variations. I may not understand what you've said about the solar panels...? I've saw that but I don't really know what I need. ALso 1000vA is a bit too much because I'm just using 350w maximum... I think I'm stuck on the UPS for now. | |
