Experienced producer wants to produce your band for free!

First of all I'm sorry I'm posting in the wrong section but I could not for my life figure out how to post in the new Jobs-section, so please, moderator, feel free to move this thread to where it belongs.

Hello everybody!

My name is Erik Wiss and I run a music studio in southern Sweden called Peakroom Studios. I have been producing pop and rock bands for a while now and I thought I'd do it a little differently this time. To cut to the chase: As much as I love music and music production I love to travel. To get the best of both worlds I would like to go to the US, visit you and your band, record an EP in your own studio or in another studio you have access to, bring home the audio files to my studio in Sweden, mix and master the whole thing and send it back to you - absolutely for free!

Here's a link to my studio: Peakroom Studio and to some reference tracks on Sound Cloud so you can listen to my work: Peakroom Studio Reference Tracks by Peakroom Studio on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free
To get to know me better as a person, you can add me on FB: erikwiss@me.com.

I understand that this proposal might seem a bit odd as most people in the music industry usually intend to gain some money out of their work and thus what I'm writing here might be perceived as unserious. So here's why I'm doing this: To combine my two passions - music and traveling, to see new places and meet new people, new contacts, talented musicians and hopefully future friends in the music industry. That's all! So for those who are still interested, here's a few facts:

*Your band must have the will and ambition to create something decent and see this project as a part of your carrear and not as an indifferent thing to get into on 50%. We're going to do this the right way and make your EP sound as good as it possibly can. After all, this will be like any professional recording session, but with me as your external producer, putting 110 % of my efforts to make your band sound great.

*Your band will not receive ANY kind of billing, invoicing, quoting or weird money requests from me, this will cost you absolutely nothing. However we need a studio to work in and if you do not possess one of your own you would might need to hire time in one and that cost will be on you. I'm not very picky with the studio setup, as long as it is decent and does not interfere with our visions too much. Of course, in the case of studio gear - more is more so the better the studio, the more choices we'll have and the better potential result we'll get, obviously. I also need a place to sleep, mattress, floor, whatever you have.

*This will preferably be done in the month of May this year, but I'm very flexible. I consider two-three weeks to be enough for the recording process.

*I'm mainly looking for a band to produce in the San Francisco area but feel free to show interest regardless of place.

*Feel no pressure. If it does not turn out the way we planned, we'd still have had a good time and made new contacts.

That should be all for the moment. It this sounds like an interesting and fun thing to do, please write to me on erikwiss@me.com with information about your band, ideas for your EP, links to sound clips, videos etc. so that I get a vibe for your band.

Best regards,
Erik Wiss
Sweden
