Adding extra AES inputs/outputs to fireface?

I've got a fireface that is nice and fully loaded right now. AD-16x and DA-16x monopolizing all of the ADAT in and outs, another AD converter using the SPDIF in, and a monitoring DA converter using the SPDIF out.

I was hoping to add a Weiss Digital EQ, but it appears that the Weiss only uses AES/EBU in and out connections. While I know I could connect those to the S/PDIF connections on the fireface, those are already in use. Does anybody know how I might add a couple of AES/EBU or SPDIF inputs/outputs to my fireface rig, while keeping everything unified and functional?

All this is on a G5 with Logic Pro. Any advice would be speeecccctacular.

I wonder if you could put a digiface on the PCI bus? I know you can install a pair of multifaces, or 2 digifaces or a combination without any issues. The RME mixer runs both like they were 1 unit. I don't know if the fireface works this way with the digiface though...one's firewire.

Maybe you could put another fireface on another FW cable?

It's a good thought, but it seems like a lot of money to spend for a couple extra AES or SPDIF connections though! I did think about that ... but there's got to be a cheaper way, I hope, at least.
