Big thanks to Greg Wells, AdamJay and Goldphinga!(Rhodes advice & Ken Rich)

(and to anyone else I left out!)

Thanks for all of your help guys, I'm picking up my Fender Rhodes MK1 73 today (great tip off on the e-bay sale Adam..thanks man!).

Greg, I just spoke with Ken Rich...that guy is awesome! Within a matter of minutes you can tell he is the guy you want to entrust your board too. He was kind enough to give me a little heads up on what to expect and even took the time to check out the pics on Ebay even though I could tell he was very busy. Nothing like meeting people who are passionate about what they do.

Thanks again guys

(and thanks to Gearslutz...this forum rocks!)

that rocks!

with no intention of stealing your thunder (but i AM pretty psyched) i just won a rhodes on eBay today a 1973 Mk1 Stage 73. always wanting one of my own, i waited for the right deal to come along and it FINALLY did. i found one that was listed on eBay but was local. just 6 miles away. Very clean, and in need of zero service.

i brought indy's best keyboard player with me, Kevin Anker, and we had a look at it in person this morning. I won the auction tonight Also, Kevin gathered that from a few markings that this was originally owned and was purchased new by Allen "Turk" Burke (The Spinners, Marvin Gaye, Patti Labelle).
