| Gear Head | AMT Electronics SS-30
So I've been a fan of the company for while, and have been using their SS-20 for over a year now. I play weddings almost nightly and for a few years I've been searching for great tone in a small package for the sale of quick load in and pack up. My rig was the SS-20 with a line 6 m9 in the effects loop (only for fx etc.) and a Fulltone Clyde in front. Problem was I needed a little more options wise on the pedal re volume and tone shaping, so the friendly folks at AMT hooked me on a great deal for their JFET pre, the SS-30. Got it today and well, WOW. Tone is monstrous. Sparkling cleans that break up nicely and ripping crunch and roaring lead channel. If you haven't heard of AMT, you MUST check Em out. |
