Do you run hi or low on the back of your LA4A?

I am asking to find out how others are running theirs, specifically in vocal tracking......thanks.

Whatever sounds best to you. There's no "right" way to use that switch.
It's just an input pad that takes a single resistor in and out of circuit.

According to the manual, "high" is for typical +4 dBm levels and "low" is for quieter -20dBm levels. It doesn't change any actual operation of the compressor. But features like this can and should be used to taste. Running a higher signal level into it with it set to "low" will drive the audio path harder and likely give you a more aggressive sound. It just depends on what works for the sound you're going for.

Big difference, never going to rely on a lamp to tell me if something is distorting again, ears only......

+4 is too hot coming out of my Neves and API's, so back to -10, even at 25/30.
spent hours recording and no matter what, the signal was too hot at +4.
