Master of Puppets

Hi, just joined the group. Excellent info here.
I'm looking to duplicate the incredible guitar tracks on Master of Puppets. I was told Michael Wagener could give me a break down on how the guitars were recorded. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It was Fleming, MW mixed it (so he might not know the whole guitar chain).

War

Really I never new that. He should have mixed Justice that CD sounds like ass.

I always thought puppets was there best all around sounding disk. Though I liked the gtr sound on Kill em all the best. Not that heavey but cruuuuuuuuuuunchy as it gets.

RTL had the best songs though. I saw them on that tour. A friend of mines band backed them up on that tour at the Channel in Boston. I think their gear got stolen that night or the next night when they hacked though a set at Lamours in Brooklyn.

Last Time I saw them was at the channel in late 84 or early 85 with W.A.S.P they didn't even play Lars got deported. But I got to hang out with jamez and Cliff.

Hetfield told me that he was at a Burger King in south Boston an hour earlier.
He said some kid came up to him and asked him about a Metallica button he had on his jacket. The kid Said "hey where did you get that Metallica pin? Metallica is my favortie band" Jamez said he just laghed. the kid had no idea he was talking to the Lead singer. funny as shit

I thought it was funny cuz noone new them back then. There were maybe 200 people at the club that night. They were there to see Wasp and Armoured Saint. They had just got signed to Electra like a month before.
He was cool. I told him to go in the Channell Mens room and check out the graffitti. It said

In spray paint it said "King Diamond is Satan and Hetfield is GOD". He was pumped when he saw that.

Lambs Blood Painted Door I shall pass!

Perhaps it has something to do with the mood I'm in but that is the funniest thing I've read in a loooong time.
